To do translations relating to patents and other intellectual property, good familiarity with the latest technology and with all legal procedures involved is essential. This being the case, the translator of necessity becomes a specialist, not saying "I can do anything," but rather "This is what I can do," and continually refining his/her expertise in that field. Further, mistakes in interpretation of the original text will do great harm to the range of rights obtained. We desire translators who as partners in our business who have take a cautious attitude toward every phrase they write and a great desire to produce a high quality translation, professionals who will be trusted by our customers.

We eagerly await applications for employment from the following kinds of persons:

Those with a field of specialty, and great intellectual curiosity so that they spare no effort to raise their competence in that field.
Those who can write sentences that are easy to understand.
Those with a cooperative attitude so that they will follow the wishes of the coordinators and customers.
Those who will take the effort to leave comments concerning unclear points in the original, and to make the work of the checker easier.
Those who have mastered the computer skills necessary to conduct business. (MS Word, sending and receiving e-mail)
For those who will be translators of patent specifications, at least five years of patent business experience.

In order to assign quickly to each translator work to which he/she is well matched, we have all the work from one customer handled by one coordinator and have constructed our exclusive database on all our translators, so that we can do time management to assign a job to the translator whose schedule, skills, and field of specialty is best suited to it. We conduct seminars to improve the skills of translators, and have a system whereby customers indicate their preference of translator. We hold a forum over the Web exclusively for our registered translators, and supply support needed to do translation at home, such as information on IP trends and on computer viruses, and specialized dictionaries.
